MARINE TOUR

Daily except Saturday   Departs 9 am and 3:30 pm

Our marine tour of historic Bluefields Bay starts from Belmont beach where we meet our local fisherman guides. The two hour experience in the Caribbean Sea will visit a partially exposed coral reef which is home to a myriad of multi-coloured fish and sea creatures.  We will also view an emerging island created by colonisation of red mangroves. This island is inhabited by hundreds of sea birds – pelicans, boobies, frigates, terns and gulls.

The warm shallow waters of the bay are a breeding ground for many  forms of marine life.  Dolphins and flying fish are often seen and occasionally we come across turtles and manatee.
